Floating Cantilever
A staircase that looks like it's barely there at all.
One of our most requested designs, and it's easy to see why. A cantilever staircase uses steel stringers fixed directly to the wall before the plasterwork goes on, so the finished treads appear to float with no visible means of support underneath.
Treads can be finished in almost any material once the steel structure is in place, and the staircase can be paired with 15mm clear toughened glass and hidden cap fixings for an even more minimal, floating look. It's a style that suits a genuinely contemporary hallway, where light and open space matter as much as the staircase itself.
Engineered to Disappear
The steel structure that carries a cantilever staircase is built to the same safety standard as any other, and designed to stay entirely out of sight once the plasterwork goes back on. What you see is the tread; what you don't see is doing all the work.
